To give you an idea of the amazing value that is the Kirkwood network pass, I wanted to share prices for 2011 passes at other major Tahoe area resorts.  For comparison sake, these prices are for unlimited adult passes. 

1) Alpine Meadows - Unlimited adult passes are $699
2) North Star/Sierra at Tahoe - Unlimited passes are $699
3) Mammoth Mountain - Unlimited passes are $849
4) Sugar Bowl- Unrestricted passes are $799
5) Squaw Valley - Unrestricted passes are $949
6) Heavenly - Unrestricted passes are $599
7) Homewood - Unrestricted passes are $399
8) Mt. Rose - Unrestricted passes are $433

Kirkwood Network = $299

In my opinion, Squaw and Mammoth are the only resorts that compare to Kirkwood in terms of quality of terrain and their passes are more than 2x kirkwood's.  Save yourself some $$$s and ride Kirkwood for the season!
